Updates:

11/Jun/2008 - Updated the main Hager page, but there were probably no changes. The updated book does reflect new information on the descendants of Marguerite Hager in the generations not included on the main page.

23/Feb/2007 - Have begun to add pictures.

19/Jan/2007 - Cousin Charley Hager has found grandad Charles' suicide note - click here to view. I will try to update the main page and book after my broken wrist heals.

2/Apr/2005 - I have been a little creative in looking for John Hager and family in 1870. We know they arrived from Sweden about 1870, supposedly living first in New Jersey for a while. Their exact date of immigration is unknown. I found the John Haggerty family in Warren Co, NJ, on the 1870 Census. They are from Sweden and all the names and ages were exactly like our Hagers, except for Marie's age which was a little off.

8/Feb/2005 - Received death certificate for Fredericka Hoglander Swenson, gg-grandmother Marie Hoglander Hager's sister. Fredericka's husband on her death certificate was Carl, not Joseph as previously reported. Her parents were John and Mary Hoglander.

22/Jan/2005 - Updated the Oak Hill Cemetery web site link. They have a beautiful new web site at www.oakhill-birmingham.org.

10/16/2004 - Some additional Census research placing Charles Hager and the Herberts in Bibb County, AL, in 1900 near each other. Charles Hager married Maggie Herbert in 1904. Book re-published.

9/1/2004 - Swensons updated - birth & death of Joseph Jordan Swenson, Jr. Book re-published.

8/17/2004 - Main page re-designed. Hagers updated on the main page, but I cannot keep up with what might have changed. Hager book re-published.

News:

6/Jan/2005 - A BIG thanks to Elaine Jeter, my BARLOW cousin in California, for checking the California Death Index for aunt Frederick Swenson. She found Frederic Swenson, age 73, died 8 Sep 1926 in Los Angeles. Sure sounds like her, and was the only likely candidate in CA who died in the 1920's. I am writing for the death certificate today.
