William Herbert (1850-1933) and Margaret Hopkins (1852-1928) immigrated from Wales in 1880, first to Ohio, and then to Alabama, where they had their last home in Bessemer. William is the son of David Herbert and Jane Gibbon of Glamorgan county, Wales. Margaret is the daughter of William Hopkins and Kathrine Jones.
