11/Jun/2008 - Added information on the Moore/Gustafson branch of the family.
10/Oct/2007 - Added information (bible and diary) now in the possession of Junith Smitherman Koon, granddaughter of Mabel. Also found information on the Mary Elizabeth Moore Gustafson, including her birth & death, and her husband's name and his birth & death. Pictures added from collection of Junith.
26/Feb/2006 - A recent trip to the Birmingham City library researching Herbert obituaries for the more recent generations.
5/Oct/2005 - Pictures added. I think I have found Margaret Hopkins (Herbert) with her parents and siblings in Wales in 1861 & 1871. Found an obituary for William Morgan Herbert. Have updated the public & private Herbert books.
8/Feb/2005 - I believe I have found the death dates for David and Jane Herbert in the England & Wales Civil Registration Index. The birth dates, based on their ages at death, and the location correspond with the information I have so far.
12/17/2004 - William and Margaret's marriage on the England & Wales Civil Registration Index, as well as Gwylym's birth, so we have an almost exact date for their marriage, as well as the place of their marriage and Gwylym's birth (I already had his birth date.)
10/16/2004 - Some additional Census research placing the Herberts in Bibb County, AL, in 1900 near Charles Hager who married Maggie Herbert in 1904. Book re-published.
9/16/2004 - Death certificates for William & Margaret were received from the State of Alabama. They provided the names of both their parents, as well as their exact birth & death dates. Which then led me to find them in several censuses in the UK. The main family page has been updated with the new information & the book on the Herberts re-published.
9/1/2004 - Additional vital statistics added on assorted family members, including the maiden name of Gwylym's wife Henrietta and their son's full name. Family tree on main page updated and book "re-published".
11/Jun/2008 - Cousin Ann Gustafson Rogers (grandaughter of Annie May Herbert Moore) and daughters found the web site, and have added much information on the Moore/Gustafson family. Looking forward to hearing from the other Gustafsons.
