The Sanders and Walls families lived in Collin County, Texas, in the early 20th century. They have roots in Oklahoma and Tennessee. Family stories tell that there is Native American ancestry in both families. The Oakley family (two daughters of John married William Sanders) have roots in Virginia. They moved to Texas in the early 1880's, settling in Wise, then Nolan Counties.
